TRANSFORuM project coordinator Ralf Brand and our colleague Kristin Tovaas have set up an interactive booth to engage with the public and gather feedback during the three-day event, from May 21 – 23.

The OECD’s International Transport Forum is currently holding its top-level event: its annual Summit, now in its 7th year. Transport experts from the public and private sectors have arrived from all corners of the world for three days of knowledge sharing and networking. As the project coordinators for the TRANSFORuM project, Rupprecht Consult has organised a stand not only to disseminate information, but to gather valuable feedback from Summit-goers.

This year brings the unique opportunity to still infuse the views of very influential stakeholders about the future of the European transport system into TRANSFORuM’s analysis. With the project now in its final year, TRANSFORuM’s partner consortium is working to finalize four stakeholder-driven roadmaps to address the EU White Paper goals for urban mobility, high speed rail, freight and ITS. In order to glean the views, priorities and opinions from the specialists who are attending ITF 2014, the TRANSFORuM stand features two interactive games that get participants to think about and respond to the White Paper goals. By the end of the Summit, enough data should have been collected to reveal some trends in the participants’ opinions.

At the same time, TRANSFORuM’s presence at the ITF should also alert the community of policy makers and implementers to TRANSFORuM’s work in general and to the soon to be released roadmaps and other outputs. We expect to also be able to attract some of the ITF attendees to TRANSFORuM’s own final conference in Brussels on December 8 2014.
